6. Do you take into account Leavers?

One thing small business owners often don’t take into account when they first start recruiting new employees is that even great people may choose to move on to pastures new within a few months or years — and you shouldn’t take it personally.

The wants and needs of an employee who worked in the startup may not be met, alternately they may not be able to work in or with the new culture as the company evolves.

For these reasons, they may look for another small company and may not stay with you. ”
